Monarchs and residents of Odogbolu Local Government Area (LGA) of Ogun State have commended the ongoing transformation in the council area under the present administration.
The commendation was made during the recent commissioning of a number of development projects executed by the local government administration with the aim to improve the living conditions and wellbeing of residents.
Speaking at the event which took place at the newly constructed ultra-modern sports Arena, along the Federal Government College road, Odogbolu, where the Obiri of Aiyepe-Ijebu, Oba Adebisi Okubanjo, described the projects as worthwhile initiatives and phenomenal dividends of democracy.
The monarch said the projects, which cut across various sectors and human needs, would have a positive impact on the lives of residents and contribute to the overall development of the council area.
Also speaking at the event, the Alayeaba of Aiyepe-Ijebu, Ọba. Adebayo Raji-sulaimon, expressed satisfaction with the pace of development in the local government, urging the Chairman, Hon. Dr. Babatunde Diya and members of his team to sustain the momentum.
Similarly, a resident of the area, Mr. Sunday Gabriel, a commercial motorcycle operator, commended the administration of Hon. Dr, Babatunde Diya, for what he described as impactful contribution to local government development.
Gabriel said the newly commissioned projects would add significant value to the lives of residents and contribute to the socio-economic development of the local government.
Also, a fashion designer, Mrs. Abosede Adesanya, said the projects would be of immense benefit to the people, commending the council chairman for prioritising initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of the masses.
She urged the administration to sustain its people-oriented programmes and continue to execute projects that would directly address the needs of residents.
Highlight the event was the Flag off of 22 projects cutting across 15 wards of the local government.
