The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ogun State Council, has congratulated Mr. Olanrewaju Iskeel Saka on his appointment as the new Head of Service of Ogun State.
In a statement jointly signed by the Council Chairman, Comrade Wale Olanrewaju, and the Secretary, Bunmi Adigun, in Abeokuta on Saturday, the union described the appointment as a recognition of competence, diligence, professionalism, and years of dedicated service to the growth and development of the Ogun State Civil Service.
The Ogun NUJ noted that Mr. Saka’s emergence as Head of Service did not come as a surprise, considering his remarkable track record, administrative experience, and commitment to excellence in public service.
The statement read in part: “Over the years, he has distinguished himself as a disciplined and visionary administrator whose contributions have positively impacted governance and service delivery in the state.
“The Union expresses confidence that the new Head of Service will deploy his wealth of experience towards strengthening the civil service, promoting efficiency, and sustaining reforms that will further enhance productivity within government establishments.”
The union also expressed optimism that the new Head of Service would inspire workers across the state to remain committed to professionalism, integrity, and selfless service.
While congratulating Mr. Saka on the significant milestone, the Council commended the Ogun State Government for entrusting the leadership of the civil service to a seasoned and capable administrator.
“The NUJ prays for wisdom, sound health, and divine guidance for the new Head of Service as he assumes the enormous responsibility of coordinating the state workforce,” the statement added.
“The Ogun State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists once again rejoices with Mr. Olanrewaju Iskeel Saka, his family, friends, and associates on this noble appointment and wishes him a successful and impactful tenure in office.”
