The Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs has pledged its full support to the newly appointed Head of Service (HoS), Mr. Iskeel Saka, during a courtesy visit aimed at strengthening collaboration and promoting effective service delivery across the state.
Speaking during the visit to the Office of the Head of Service in Oke-Mosan, the ministry’s delegation led by the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Rotimiolu Akinlesi, said the visit was to formally congratulate the HoS on his appointment and to reaffirm the ministry’s commitment to advancing the state government’s agenda at the grassroots level.
Dr. Akinlesi described the appointment of the new HoS as well deserved, assuring him of the ministry’s cooperation in enhancing local governance and strengthening traditional institutions.
“We are here to identify with you on your new assignment and assure you of our unwavering support and cooperation. We pray for God’s guidance and wisdom as you discharge your responsibilities,” he said.
He commended the ministry for its critical role in coordinating local government administration and overseeing traditional institutions, describing the traditional institution as a vital pillar for national development and societal well-being.
The No. 1 civil servant also praised the ministry’s contributions to grassroots governance and lauded its commitment to staff welfare, noting that a motivated workforce remains essential for improved productivity and efficient service delivery.
He urged directors in the ministry to continue to support the Commissioner and the Permanent Secretary to ensure greater achievements and the successful implementation of government policies.
Speaking on behalf of the management team, the most senior Director in the ministry, Mr. Abiodun Akinwunmi, thanked the HoS for the warm reception and assured him of the ministry’s continued dedication to sustaining the state’s ISEYA developmental agenda.
