Ogun Conducts CBT Exams For Trace Officers Recruitment



 In a bold move to tackle graduate unemployment and boost the efficiency of the State Civil Service, the Ogun State Civil Service Commission has conducted a Computer Based Test (CBT) for applicants vying for the position of Road Traffic Officers in the State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE).

The examination, which took place at the 500-seater ICT center of the Federal University of Agriculture, Alabata, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), marked a significant step toward a merit-based recruitment process.

Speaking during the exercise, Permanent Secretary, Civil Service Commission, Mr. Adesoji Adewuyi, explained that the exercise was organised for applicants who were seeking employment into the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency TRACE for the post of Road Traffic Officers in order to strengthen the efforts of the existing officers.

According to him, only applicants who sat for the examination and scored high percentage would be shortlisted afterwards for oral interviews, stressing that selection of successful candidates would be based strictly on merit.

The Permanent Secretary, further commended the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, for his commitment to building a competent workforce, saying that the Governor was known for his resilience and steadfastness in ensuring that the teeming graduates with excellent minds, were employed into the State Civil Service for effective delivery.

This development has been hailed as a win for transparency and opportunity, as good numbers of qualified graduates now have a fair chance to serve their State.

In their separate interviews, Mr. Temiloluwa Sojobi and Miss Modupe Sanya, appreciated the government for the laudable opportunity given to them.
